Romans 8:35-39

35 Who shall separate us from the love of Christ? shall tribulation, or distress, or persecution, or famine, or nakedness, or peril, or sword?36 As it is written, For thy sake we are killed all the day long; we are accounted as sheep for the slaughter. 37 Nay, in all these things we are more than conquerors through him that loved us. 38 For I am persuaded, that neither death, nor life, nor angels, nor principalities, nor powers, nor things present, nor things to come,39 Nor height, nor depth, nor any other creature, shall be able to separate us from the love of God, which is in Christ Jesus our Lord.

It is easy for the Christian to see himself as being battered by the devil all the time. The devil roars like a lion even when he has not yet caused any damage. Most of the time he has not caused any damage but the roaring is enough to scare people and create fear in them.

The child of God is not expected to fall for any of those roars of the enemy. In the first place be reminded as a child of God, our Jesus is the Lion of the tribe of Judah, so when it comes to roaring, He has a greater roar.

If that does not make you feel better, send your mind back to Calvary when Jesus died on the cross and the devil and all his demons thought they had finished Jesus, not knowing there must first be death before the resurrection to demonstrate His power over death.

If you are still struggling, read over and over the passage today to see how the Apostle Paul captures the victory that is ours. The victory is ours because the God who declared us victorious loves us with an everlasting love, from which nothing shall separate us. None of the things the devil brings our way has power to change the victory dynamics. It is always in our favour because of God’s unending love for us. We are victors!

1. Have a celebration of praise this morning like the angels did when Jesus rose from the dead.

2. Ask God for greater faith in the finished work of Jesus on the cross for your salvation, healing and deliverance

3. Father, I thank You for Your love that nothing can erode. I am forever grateful.

I declare that I am blessed and highly favoured. I am loved above all of God’s creation. Nothing can take me from the hand of my heavenly Father. I declare in the name of Jesus that as long as I trust in Him, I am safe in His everlasting love in the name of Jesus.
